At Jammyskies Paws Labrador Retrievers Home, we are committed to raising healthy, well-cared-for puppies and standing behind every puppy we place. Every puppy purchased through our website is protected by a minimum one-month health guarantee, in accordance with applicable state laws.
Because health guarantee regulations vary by state, buyers are encouraged to review the rules and regulations governing puppy sales in their state of residence.
After purchase, your puppy must be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 10 days of taking ownership.
If, within 5–10 days of purchase, a licensed veterinarian determines that your puppy has a serious health condition or illness that existed prior to delivery, you may choose one of the following options:
Return the puppy and receive a full refund of the purchase price
Return the puppy in exchange for a replacement puppy of equal value, subject to availability
Return the puppy and receive reimbursement for documented veterinary expenses, not exceeding the purchase price of the puppy
Important:
If the breeder has provided a valid Health Certificate signed and stamped by a licensed veterinarian prior to sale, these options may not apply, as permitted by law.
If, within one month of purchase, a licensed veterinarian diagnoses your puppy with a congenital or hereditary condition that significantly affects its quality of life—or if the puppy passes away due to such a condition—you may also qualify for the remedies listed above.
To qualify:
Written notification must be sent to the breeder within 24–72 hours of veterinary diagnosis
Documentation must include the veterinarian’s name, clinic address, phone number, and signed diagnosis
Failure to notify the breeder within 72 business hours may void the guarantee. Responsibility then shifts to the buyer.
In the United States, health guarantees vary by state. All breeders advertising through our platform are required to provide at least a one-month health guarantee in states where no longer guarantee is mandated.
If state law requires a longer coverage period, state law supersedes this policy.
Some puppies may include an extended hereditary health guarantee, subject to the following conditions:
Coverage applies only to conditions proven to be hereditary through certified veterinary diagnosis and laboratory testing
Routine veterinary care, vaccinations, and general maintenance are not covered
All claims must be supported with official veterinary documentation
Injuries caused by owner negligence, accidents, or misuse are not covered
We guarantee that all puppies have received age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, as documented in the puppy’s health records.
Buyers are strongly encouraged to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian of their choice within 48 hours of arrival.
If this examination reveals a life-threatening genetic defect, the buyer must notify the breeder within 24 hours. A replacement puppy of equal value will be offered, subject to availability.
The puppy must be returned to the breeder within 24 hours, along with all registration paperwork and a signed veterinary statement confirming the diagnosis.
This health guarantee does not cover:
Minor or cosmetic conditions (uneven bites, undescended testicles)
Grade 1 or 2 heart murmurs
External parasites (fleas, ticks)
Internal parasites (coccidia, giardia, worms)
Hernias, kennel cough, ringworm
Injuries or conditions caused after delivery
We are not responsible for Parvo, Distemper, or Coronavirus diagnosed more than 48 hours after delivery, as these are highly contagious diseases that can be contracted immediately after leaving the breeder.
Your puppy is guaranteed for 12 months from birth against life-threatening congenital defects.
If such a condition is confirmed by a licensed veterinarian:
The puppy must be returned to the breeder
A replacement puppy of equal quality and value will be provided (subject to availability)
No cash refunds are issued under this policy
Veterinary expenses incurred by the buyer are not reimbursed.
In the event of death due to suspected congenital defect, a veterinary statement or necropsy report is required. The breeder is not responsible for medical or diagnostic costs.
Pet puppies are sold on limited registration and must be spayed or neutered before 27 weeks of age
Breeding or show prospect puppies may be sold on full registrationWe do not guarantee show titles or future breeding performance
Your puppy leaves us up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, with complete health documentation provided. Buyers are responsible for continuing all recommended veterinary care, including annual boosters.
Failure to maintain proper veterinary care voids all guarantees.
In the event of legal action between the breeder and the original buyer, the buyer agrees to be responsible for all court costs and attorney fees incurred by both parties.
All legal proceedings must be conducted in the state and country of the breeder.
